The short version
tao_tax uses only strictly necessary cookies — the ones required to log you in and keep your session secure. We use no advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking, and no third-party analytics. Under the GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive, strictly necessary cookies do not require consent, which is why you don't see a consent pop-up on this site.
Cookies we set

We also use one browser local-storage key, tao-support-banner-dismissed, which remembers on this device only that you dismissed the support banner. We do not use localStorage or any other storage mechanism for tracking purposes.
If we ever add analytics
If we introduce analytics or any non-essential cookies in the future, we will (a) prefer a cookieless, self-hosted, privacy-respecting option that requires no consent, or (b) if consent is required, add a consent banner before any such cookie is set, with "Reject all" as prominent as "Accept all," and update this notice.
Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from logging in.
